Prized for centuries for their distinctive aroma and flavor, black truffles are among a select few ingredients used by the world's great chefs to enhance the flavor of cuisine from salads to entrées and desserts.
Truffles are found only in certain parts of the world. They can be harvested only during the Autumn months under carefully controlled conditions. Our Truffles are found deep in the oak woods of Istria County in Croatia, close to neighboring Italy and Slovenia. Our minced truffles include no other ingredients besides choice black or white truffles in olive oil.
RECIPE – Baby Beef Steaks with Minced Black Truffles
90 grams minced black truffles, 800 g baby beef steaks, 40 g butter, 200 g cream, black truffle oil, salt, pepper.
Heat butter in a frying pan, add seasoned beef steaks. Fry them for 3 minutes on each side over low hear. When ready let them sit in another vessel. Add cream and minced black truffles to the remaining butter in the frying pan. Season the sauce to your taste and cook briefly. Add the beef steaks to the sauce and cook for another 2 minutes. Add a few drops of black olive oil. Serve with salad, steamed vegetables, and roasted potatoes.
